Howard started his insurance career back in 1980’s and has worked in the insurance industry ever since. He has held almost every position in the agency side of the business and truly worked his way up the ladder which eventually led to his owning and managing Crossing Insurance Group. With over 20 years of experience building not one but two successful agencies over that time period and with decades of experience managing and designing almost every aspect of what it takes to build a successful insurance agency he has become a valuable resource for those who do business with him. A passion for doing what is right and for truly caring about people has led to decades of successful relationships with the people he has helped and served. He understands that what made his career and his agency successful is the trust he has fostered and earned from his clients. Howard’s commitment to his industry and continuing education and training is further demonstrated by his designation as a Certified Insurance Counselor for over the past 20 years which is indicative of his commitment to his industry and his clients.
I take great pride and care of the reputation I have worked so hard to develop. As a business owner as well as a manger of people and processes I wear many hats in my business but I never lose sight of the importance of the trust we must build and earn with everyone we do business with. Denise has been a licensed insurance agent for over 20 years. She began her career in a mid-size agency specializing in transportation insurance and went on to the company side working for Zurich Insurance in Philadelphia. At Zurich she worked as an underwriter in the small business department, handling 20 agents within Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia County. She returned to the agency side as a commercial producer and service representative after raising a family.
I have worked with commercial insurance for my entire career. I have helped many clients and business’s with sales and service of their Insurance needs. I love helping others and the agency’s work environment. I also enjoy having the availability to connect with clients one on one and I enjoy building build long term relationships with our customers and our underwriters.
I am married with 2 teens in high school. I enjoy relaxing with friends, hanging with family in Ocean City NJ and volunteering part time for a non-for-profit cat rescue.
Tara joined the Washington Crossing family in 2017 as a licensed agent. She started out as a customer service representative with Nationwide Insurance in 2007. While working there, she obtained her P&C and life license and has since enjoyed working in the insurance industry ever since. She loves getting to know her clients and feels its important building a good rapport and taking the extra time to get to know them on a personal level.
I really enjoy what I do! Insurance is another language to most. Being able to help my clients understand it in simplest terms is important. While we always hope for no losses as drivers and homeowner’s we all know that things happen. Knowing I can help with the process and ease their minds during what can be a very stressful moment is very important and something I enjoy doing for our clients!
While not in the office, Tara loves spending time with her husband and daughter. They all have a huge love of animals. She is actively involved in her community barn and together with her family, volunteers most nights and weekends to caring for all the horses and taking leisure trail rides with her own horse, Bubba!
Kathleen Beringer has over 30 years of experience selling and servicing personal and commercial lines of insurance. Kathleen brings simplicity to the insurance buying process. She has a unique way of making clients feel comfortable and assuring that they understand what they are purchasing and why.
I truly love what I do. I love sitting with a client and reviewing their policies and explaining the importance of the coverage and limits on the policy. I believe that people set out to find a lower premium, but they like being educated in understandable terms better. I realize that price is always a consideration but I retain and keep my clients happy with my devotion to customer service. I endeavor to make each client feel like they are my only client.
Lisa Bara has been servicing personal lines insurance as a customer service representative for over 15 years. She takes great pride in helping our clients with anything they need in the way of policy service or billing questions. Lisa has a great connect with our clients and works hard to assist our clients with any needs or problems they might have with a calm and patient attitude.
l started doing customer service as a second job and a way to make ends meet. I never thought I would enjoy dealing with the public as much as I do. Being a single mother of 3 boys, I know the struggles that people may have, I keep that in mind when someone calls and I’ve learned if you stay positive and take the time to listen, a client appreciates that.
